Board members also participate in one committee, including Fundraising, Strategic Planning, Board Governance, and Finance. Members of the Centre also participate in these committees. If you would like to nominate someone, please complete our Call for Nominations form. Mandate of the BoardA non-profit charitable organization, SWC is managed by a community based, volunteer Board of Directors who set policy, plan, and ensure that adequate resources (financial, human, etc) are available to fulfill the agency mission. Should a vacancy arise, it may be filled through election by Board members at their monthly meeting, and ratified by the Membership at the Annual General Meeting. A New Board Member Orientation is offered to incoming Board members in August. CommitteesEach Board member also participates in a committee activity.
