Our membership comprises diverse women from the Greater Toronto Area. Membership include friends of the centre, past participants, community agency members, funders, individual and corporate donors and board members.

To become a member of the Scarborough Women’s Centre:

• Complete the membership form. 
• It asks that you sign your name in support of the mission of the Centre. 
• There is a $10 membership fee for individuals ($5 for seniors and students). If cost is an issue, we are able to waive the membership fee for active volunteers and service users who would not be able to pay. Please also note that the Canada Revenue Agency does not consider a membership fee eligible for a donation receipt.

As a member you will receive:

• A membership card for the year ahead
• A gift voucher which can be used towards one of our many courses or workshops

Your rights and responsibilities as a member

• the right to a vote at all members' meetings, including the Annual General Meeting
• the eligibility for membership on the Board of Directors or SWC committees
• the right to have your voice heard on matters of concern to the well-being of the Centre
• the responsibility to attend the AGM, and any specialty called members' meetings
• the responsibility to be an ambassador for the Centre in the community to make sure that women are aware of the assistance that we can offer
